3Maintenance SurveyorReporting to the Account Manager this role will be for an experienced Maintenance Surveyor working for our Client, a high profile fast food operation. The role will cover the whole of Scotland and require a degree of flexibility.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities


  • To be responsible for effective programming of your workload.It is expected that you will spend 80% of your time in the field and 20% of your time on quote validation / project management.
  • To report/reply/action and build a relationship with the Regional Director / Regional Coach within agreed timescales when required.To meet on a minimum of a quarterly basis, which may include attending regional meetings.
  • Required to check and validate all referred building quotations (including H&S and DHO critical jobs), for restaurants within the agreed geographical area and within agreed timescales.To identify and prepare Capex request if applicable.
  • To undertake site checks on a minimum of 20% of all reactive building work and planned maintenance within your region each period and manage all project work to programme and within budget. Verifying works that have been carried out correctly and to the expected specification.

4BuyerThis role will be for an experienced Buyer, responsible for managing a portfolio of significant value/risk facilities management contracts to ensure best value is achieved for SGP and our clients.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities


  • To source new suppliers and develop existing supplier relationships.
  • Ensure all new and existing suppliers gain assured supplier status through Altius Vendor Assessment.
  • Manage the process for unapproved/local suppliers.
  • Perform supplier reviews and monitor supplier performance against agreed service level agreements and report on trends.
  • To support Facilities Managers to ensure all purchasing activities are performed efficiently.
  • Develop and maintain a purchasing manual to describe process and best practice for all purchasing activity.
  • To negotiate a series of framework agreements with all preferred and key suppliers, and with suppliers who provide goods/services to the Facilities Management business which are deemed high value/high risk.
  • To implement a significant number of short form agreements with suppliers of goods/services that do not meet the criteria for a framework agreement.
  • Manage the end to end invitation to tender process providing sound commercial advice and guidance to the stakeholder throughout the process.
  • Perform benchmarking activity across high spend categories to ensure clients are receiving the best value.

The successful candidate will be CIPS qualified, will be able to prioritise their workload and have the ability to work on their own.
They will have good communication skills, and be able liaise with clients, suppliers and SGP Facilities Managers.

5Service Charge CoordinatorReporting to the Service Charge Manager, this role will be responsible for maximising savings on behalf of clients against Service Charges levied on commercial properties.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities


  • Interpret client lease clauses in relation to service charges levied
  • Liaise with landlords and managing agents to ensure accounts are appropriate and up to date.
  • Challenge increases or incorrect charges levied.
  • Recover excessive or incorrect charges or those levied outside of the lease terms.
  • Review Planned Preventative Maintenance programmes to ensure recoveries are appropriate, necessary and when levied are spread evenly
  • Maintain effective communication, prepare and submit monthly business reports to clients.

6Software DeveloperReporting to the Senior Software Developer, this role will be to design and develop both web and windows software based on information gathered during the requirement discovery phase. It will require the co-ordination and organisation of the testing-debug cycle through to the successful deployment of the development.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities


  • Liaise with end users and project sponsors to establish system requirements
  • Design and develop web/windows based system to meet business and end user requirements
  • Debug and maintain all systems: either owned or sourced externally
  • Provide technical assistance and support to both IT department and end users
  • Provide test plans and generally aid software tester with their duties
  • Research new software methodologies and technologies
  • Assist support co-ordinator with software queries, new development requests and bug reporting.
  • Assist with maintenance of SQL Server databases
  • Provide demonstrations of in-house developments to clients.
  • Provide demonstrations and simple training of in-house developments to end-users
